Posts from the spaces Category

I recently entered into a competition called The Youngblood Editions 2013 run by The Queensland Centre of Photography. It was an opportunity to have my Portrait of Cars project published as a photobook and displayed in a gallery. I was selected as one of the 4 finalist but unfortunately did not win. More about my entry can be seen here.

I am however continuing with this adapted theme of displaying my car portraits as a diptych with the aim of telling a visual story about the cars.

Here are some of my last film attempts. Fell free to comment if you think the combinations work here.

This will be my last Empty Spaces post for 2012.  Some statistic for your interest; since starting ‘the unknown project’ at the start of the year, i have had 22, 782 views, 49 posts, 266 comments, and most importantly for me 978 followers (from 139 countries).

So for those of you following my project, thank you for your support and please stay in touch!

Also, I will be putting out an ‘Empty Spaces 2013 Calendar’ over the next couple of weeks, so follow me here if you would like to be notified when it is released.

My series on Empty Spaces has been selected as a finalist for the Perth Centre for Photography 2012 UNCOVER, an award set up to support, encourage and nurture emerging photomedia artists.
UNCOVER finalists’ series will be screened at the Northbridge Piazza Screen on Thursday 25ht Oct at 6:15pm. Come down for a look if you live locally.
