Ben, these are wonderful. Your eye for capturing the haunting beauty in everyday life is very sharp. I’m always impressed by the number of older vehicles in your photos. Here in the U.S., there are plenty of older cars, but not many are as old or as well-maintained as those you capture on film. (I’m thinking specifically of the pink Mustang, the VW Beetle, and the VW Microbus from this post). The 40+-year-old autos lend a vintage-yet-not-vinatge feel to your work; often, I can’t place the setting or time period by looking at what’s parked along the street. That’s a good thing.
Again, beautiful work! Thanks for adding some beauty and “visual thinking” to my day.
Love your work as always. The composition is always so interesting. I think you should produce a coffee table book. Another photographer whose work I like does a yearly calendar. Anyway, great job. Love it!
